Maternity Consultant/Concierge/Coordinator
Happy Healthy Parenthood strives to provide a full range of services to those who are expanding their families or those in need of some training or assistance. We offer a full service for all things maternity and parent related, such as Maternity Consultation/Concierge/Coordination, Lactation Support services, Birth Doula services, CPR/AED/First Aid Training, and Child Passenger Safety Technician services. My ultimate goal is to help create healthy beginnings and to ensure that each person feels comfortable in their parenthood journey wherever they may be.
As a Maternity Consultant/Concierge/Coordinator my number one job is to ensure that our time working together is smooth one.
Do you want help with navigating what classes to take and where? How about preparing for your birth? We can create a birth plan together. I can assist you with whatever questions or concerns that may arise. You may want me to help you with setting up your registries, finding a newborn photographer or chiropractor, figure out diaper or safe sleep options, or you may simply want me to help you with menu planning/meal prep/grocery list creation for after baby is here. I can create lists of OBs, midwives, pediatricians, doulas, prenatal classes, help plan your baby shower, or help write thank you notes. I can do all of that and so much more.
Lactation Counseling
I am a trained Lactation Specialist, as well as a Certified Lactation Counselor through the Healthy Children Project at the Center of Breastfeeding. I provide assistance and support to those who may be just beginning their breastfeeding journey or those who may be of the more experienced variety. I provide a positive voice and listening ear to ensure that any issues can be remedied, and you feel empowered after our time together. I offer virtual hour-long appointments, or I can meet you inside of your home, which can be vital in those first few weeks.
Birth Doula
I am a trained birth doula through DONA, who is working towards my certification at this time. My goal as a doula is to provide a continuous emotional, physical, and informational support to mothers before, during, and after childbirth.
Pediatric & Adult CPR/AED/First Aid Training
I provide American Red Cross CPR/AED/First Aid training to parents, businesses, schools, teenagers, community groups, childcare centers, etc. These can be held at your location or scheduled at Happy Healthy Parenthood's site of choice (located in Pleasant Hill, MO).
Child Passenger Safety Technician- CPST
I am a trained/certified Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST) by Safe Kids Worldwide who can provide assistance with all of your car seat needs! Whether you are bringing your new bundle of joy home for the first time, or your child has moved to a booster seat, I can show you how to install a car seat and walk you through the proper process, as well as answer any questions or concerns you may have. This not only builds your confidence, but it helps to ensure that your child is safe every time they ride.
